What it does
Exile target creature. If you don't control a Human, you lose life equal to that creature's toughness.
Rulings
2 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.
- 2020-04-17
Use the exiled creature’s toughness as it last existed on the battlefield to determine how much life you lose.
- 2020-04-17
Whether you control a Human is checked only after exiling the target creature. If that creature had exiled a Human you controlled until that creature left the battlefield, that Human will return to the battlefield in time to be counted.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Dire Tactics. It runs a name search across every version, which covers the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.
Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
