What you get
The shape of the deck
Every card is read for what it actually does, so a list becomes counts: how much ramp, how much removal, how many wipes, how much draw. Those are put next to what a deck of that archetype usually runs, with a tolerance band — being one card off a target isn't a problem and isn't flagged as one.
A curve you can read
Your mana values bucketed against the shape the archetype wants, with your average next to its target. Lands are counted separately, because a land isn't a point on the curve — it's the thing that pays for it.
An honest bracket
Game Changers, tutor density, fast mana, land denial and extra turns, read against the official bracket criteria. It gives you the lowest bracket your list can honestly claim — a floor you can take to a Rule 0 conversation.
Cards can do more than one job
Solemn Simulacrum is a creature, an artifact, ramp and card advantage, and it counts toward all four. So the numbers overlap and add up to more than your deck size. That's deliberate — it's how deck builders count.

- Is Rate My Deck free?
- Yes, and you don't need an account. The structural breakdown — lands, ramp, removal, card advantage, mana curve and the bracket estimate — is computed from your decklist and costs nothing. The AI written review is also free, with a limit per hour so one person can't exhaust it for everyone.
- What decklist formats can I use?
- A link to a deck on Archidekt, Moxfield or Manabox; a CSV exported from any of those sites; or a plain text list with one card per line in the form '1 Sol Ring'. If your commander is separated from the rest of the list by a blank line, as most exports do, it's detected automatically.
- How is the bracket estimated?
- By reading the list against Wizards of the Coast's official Commander bracket criteria: how many cards from the official Game Changers list it runs, how many tutors, how much fast mana, whether it has mass land denial or chained extra turns. It reports the lowest bracket your deck can honestly claim.
- Why does it say 'at least' a bracket rather than giving one number?
- Because counting cards cannot see a two-card combo. Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation are unremarkable on their own and are the whole deck together, so two lists with identical Game Changers and tutor counts can be a Bracket 3 midrange deck and a Bracket 5 cEDH deck. The count gives a floor you can trust; the AI review reads the list properly and refines it.
- Do the numbers add up to 100?
- No, and they're not meant to. A card counts toward every role it fills — Solemn Simulacrum is a creature and an artifact and ramp and card advantage all at once — so the totals overlap and sum well past your deck size. That's how deck builders count, and forcing one bucket per card would make most of the numbers wrong.
- Do you store my decklist?
- No. The analysis is computed and returned, and only the AI review is cached — keyed by a hash of the list so that refreshing or sharing a result doesn't regenerate it. The decklist itself isn't saved.
