What it does
When this Equipment enters, attach it to target creature you control. When you do, equipped creature fights up to one target creature an opponent controls. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)
Equipped creature gets +1/+1 and has trample.
Equip 3 ({3}: Attach to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery.)
Rulings
One official ruling, as Wizards published it.
- 2026-01-27
You don't choose a target creature an opponent controls for Novel Nunchaku's first ability at the time it triggers. Rather, a second "reflexive" ability triggers when Novel Nunchaku is attached to the target creature you control this way. You choose a target for that ability as it goes on the stack. Each player may respond to this triggered ability as normal.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Novel Nunchaku. It runs a name search across every version, which covers the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.
Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
