Strategies it goes well with
- Discard-outlet decks. Any discard effect used earlier in the turn compounds the card draw from the attack trigger, since the count is cumulative for the whole turn.
- Rakdos aggro. Flying and deathtouch make it hard to profitably block, so it applies pressure while also refilling the hand it's spending on removal and burn.
- Madness and graveyard decks. A deck already discarding cards for value gets the attack trigger essentially for free on top of its existing plan.

As the commander it rewards building around discard outlets. The more discarding a deck can do before combat, the bigger the attack-trigger payoff, so it works best as a build-around rather than a value creature at the head of any Rakdos deck.

A solid aggressive body on its own thanks to flying deathtouch, with the card draw as a real bonus in any Rakdos deck that's already discarding cards for other reasons.

- Slow, defensive decks. The upside is locked behind attacking, so a deck that isn't pressuring the board gets little from the card.
