What it does
Swampbenders's power and toughness are each equal to the number of Swamps on the battlefield.
Lands you control are Swamps in addition to their other types.
Rulings
2 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.
- 2025-10-02
Land cards not on the battlefield aren't affected by Swampbenders's second ability.
- 2025-10-02
Swampbenders's second ability causes each land on the battlefield you control to have the land type Swamp in addition to its other types. Any land that's a Swamp has the ability "T: Add ." Nothing else changes about those lands, including their names, other subtypes, other abilities, and whether they're legendary, basic, or snow.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only — no individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
