Haunting Voyage card art

Haunting Voyage

Sorcery MV 6

Tracked across real Commander games played through TurnZero HQ.

What it does

Choose a creature type. Return up to two creature cards of that type from your graveyard to the battlefield. If this spell was foretold, return all creature cards of that type from your graveyard to the battlefield instead.

Foretell 5 (During your turn, you may pay {2} and exile this card from your hand face down. Cast it on a later turn for its foretell cost.)

Rulings

2 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.

  • 2021-02-05

You must choose an existing creature type, such as Ox or Coward. You can't choose card types (e.g., artifact), supertypes (e.g., snow), or noncreature subtypes (e.g., Aura).

  • 2021-02-05

Haunting Voyage doesn't target any creature cards. You choose the creature type as Haunting Voyage resolves, then you choose up to two creature cards of that type to return (or all of them if Haunting Voyage was foretold).

Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Every version of Haunting Voyage

5 printings, newest first. Prices are the market figures Scryfall publishes, refreshed nightly — a printing with no figure shows a dash rather than a zero, because Scryfall genuinely publishes none for some of them.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Haunting Voyage — a name search across every version, for the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only — no individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
