What it does
Target player gains 4 life.
Landfall — If you had a land enter the battlefield under your control this turn, that player gains 8 life instead.
Rulings
5 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.
- 2024-11-08
Once the spell resolves, having a land enter under your control provides no further benefit.
- 2024-11-08
Having more than one land enter the battlefield under your control this turn provides no additional benefit.
- 2024-11-08
The landfall ability checks for an action that has happened in the past. It doesn't matter if a land that entered the battlefield under your control previously in the turn is still on the battlefield, is still under your control, or is still a land.
- 2024-11-08
Whether you had a land enter the battlefield under your control this turn is checked as this spell resolves, not as you cast it.
- 2024-11-08
The effect of this spell's landfall ability replaces its normal effect. If you had a land enter under your control this turn, only the landfall-based effect happens.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Rest for the Weary. It runs a name search across every version, which covers the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.
Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
