As a mono-green commander, it's a weak choice. The search can only find differently named basics your deck can contain, and the power depends on basic land types. Prismatic Omen or Dryad of the Ilysian Grove make every land you control every basic land type, which raises its power to 5, but the deck still has little to find with the search.
It's at its best in the 99 of a multicolor green deck, where it fetches several different basics for color fixing and grows as you add land types. It's an uncommon that scales with X, so it's a fine early play and a better late one.
Dryad of the Ilysian Grove ↗
Lets you play an extra land each turn and makes every land you control every basic land type, so its power becomes 5.
Prismatic Omen ↗
Makes your lands every basic land type for two mana, which raises its power to 5 even in mono-green.
Exploration ↗
An extra land drop each turn for {G}, so the basics it fetches go onto the battlefield faster.
Lotus Cobra ↗
Adds a mana of any color whenever a land enters under your control, so each fetched basic you play adds mana.
Fblthp, Knows the Way is an uncommon from the Reality Fracture main set, released October 2, 2026. It's inexpensive and should stay that way, so pick it up with your other singles.
No. The basics go to your hand, not the battlefield. It makes sure you hit your land drops and gives you the colors you need, so it fixes and smooths your mana rather than accelerating it.
Not in most decks. A mono-green deck can't run Plains, Islands, Swamps or Mountains, so the search finds only a couple of differently named basics, and the domain power stays at 1 unless something gives your lands every basic land type.
In a five-color deck with typed lands such as Triomes, its power reaches 5, and X of 4 fetches one of each of four different basics for six mana. That is card advantage and color fixing on one body.
