The Setup

Reality Fracture closes out a story arc that's been building since Wilds of Eldraine and ran through Tarkir: Dragonstorm. After a final confrontation in the Meditation Realm, Jace Beleren didn't come back the same. He's taken a new title — the Theorist — and set himself up as the all-seeing architect of a reshaped multiverse called the Echoverse, ruling from a corrupted mirror of Strixhaven called Hexhaven. He wants a reality without the suffering and loss that's defined his story. The catch: it can only exist if this one is erased first. Ajani, Chandra, Garruk, and a Liliana who's since lost her spark are the ones left to stop him — with more than a few familiar faces caught in between.

Echo Variants

The set's whole identity. Beloved characters and classic cards each get a warped "echo" version rebuilt in a different — often opposing — color, marked with a distinct logo behind the rules text. Play Boosters are built so you can open the original and its echo side by side, which is exactly the point: this is a set about seeing familiar things made strange.

Prepared

Strixhaven's signature draw-a-card-face-down-and-cash-it-in-later mechanic is back, and it's the backbone of every Hexhaven school deck. Fitting, since Hexhaven itself is a twisted echo of Strixhaven — same classroom structure, same mechanic, very different faculty.

The Theorist

Jace Beleren, Reimagined

The set's headliner and central villain. Whatever his final card type turns out to be, he's the obvious centerpiece for a control or mill-based Theorix-style Commander deck once the full text is revealed.

Titanbones, Towering Heart

Legendary Creature · Black

A colossal, protective flip on a Commander cult-favorite — worth watching for a big-mana or Skeleton tribal build once its full text lands.

Garruk, Curse Breaker

Planeswalker — Garruk · Black

Most planeswalkers aren't Commander-legal on their own, but a mono-black Garruk is exactly the kind of card that tends to anchor a themed FRC precon — a first color for the character is a good sign he's getting the spotlight.

Enlightened Confidant

Creature · White

Not a commander itself, but exactly the kind of efficient, color-pie-bending card-advantage engine that ends up as a Special Guests staple in dozens of decks.
