Rulings

4 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.

  • 2024-07-26

If the top card of your library has X in its mana cost, you must choose a value of X that makes that spell's mana value 4 or greater in order to cast it.

  • 2024-07-26

If the top card of your library changes while you're casting a spell, playing a land, or activating an ability, you can't look at the new top card until you finish doing so. This means that if you cast a spell from the top of your library, you can't look at the next one until you're done paying for that spell.

  • 2024-07-26

You can look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction; see below), even if you don't have priority. This action doesn't use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand.

  • 2024-07-26

You must pay all costs and follow all timing rules for lands played and spells cast from the top of your library this way.

Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Every version of Glarb, Calamity's Augur

5 printings, newest first. Prices are the market figures Scryfall publishes, refreshed nightly — a printing with no figure shows a dash rather than a zero, because Scryfall genuinely publishes none for some of them.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Glarb, Calamity's Augur — a name search across every version, for the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only — no individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
