Rulings
One official ruling, as Wizards published it.
- 2008-04-01
Murmuring Bosk is a Forest, but it isn't a basic land. Things that affect basic lands don't affect it. Things that affect basic land types do. For example, you can't find Murmuring Bosk with Fertilid's ability ("searches their library for a basic land card"), but you can find Murmuring Bosk with Everbark Shaman's ability ("search your library for two Forest cards").
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only — no individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
