What it does
Flying
Taborax has lifelink as long as it has five or more +1/+1 counters on it.
Whenever another nontoken creature you control dies, put a +1/+1 counter on Taborax. If that creature was a Cleric, you may draw a card. If you do, you lose 1 life.
Rulings
2 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.
- 2020-09-25
If Taborax is dealt lethal damage at the same time as one or more nontoken creatures you control die or are dealt lethal damage, it won't receive a counter from its ability in time to save it.
- 2020-09-25
If another nontoken Cleric dies at the same time as Taborax, you won't put a +1/+1 counter on anything, but you may draw a card as its last ability resolves. You still lose 1 life if you do.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Taborax, Hope's Demise. It runs a name search across every version, which covers the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.
Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
