A Masters set drafted for Commander
Commander Masters is a reprint set built for one format. The main set is entirely reprints, drawn from across Magic's history and often shifted in rarity, and the four Commander decks each add ten new cards.
The interesting part is the draft. You still open three boosters, but you take two cards per pick rather than one, and you are drafting toward a hundred-card singleton deck with a commander rather than a forty-card deck. It is the only Masters set designed that way.
Themes
No new mechanics
The main set is reprints, so nothing new is introduced there. What is new is the draft structure itself and the ten new cards in each of the four precon decks.
Two picks per pack
Commander Masters draft has you take two cards each time the pack comes round instead of one, so a three-pack draft gives you enough of a pool to build toward a hundred-card deck.
Where You Can Play It
Commander Masters is an eternal-format product. It was never Standard- or Pioneer-legal, and reprints in it keep whatever legality the card already had elsewhere.
Standard was never in play for this set, so the February 2027 rotation doesn't touch it. Nothing here rotates out of Modern, Legacy, Vintage or Commander. Commons from any set are Pauper-legal; that isn't listed per set here.
Limited
One per colour pair, each signposted by a two-colour uncommon legendary creature. They matter less than in a normal set, because most players draft toward the commander they open rather than toward the archetype.
All ten two-colour pairs
Full ten-pair format
Artifacts, tokens, graveyard and reanimator, spells, sacrifice and slow tokens are among the named pairs. Each has an uncommon legend that shows what it wants, which doubles as a signal for what to take.
Commander
Each carries ten new cards on top of its reprints.
Eldrazi Unbound
Zhulodok, Void Gorger
Colourless Eldrazi and cast triggers.
Enduring Enchantments
Anikthea, Hand of Erebos
Enchantments and the graveyard.
Planeswalker Party
Commodore Guff
The planeswalker-matters deck.
Sliver Swarm
Sliver Gravemother
Slivers, and the reason many players bought the set.
Building one of these into something of your own? The precon buying guide covers how to judge a deck, and the Commander deck template is the shape to build toward.

You open three boosters as usual, but take two cards each time the pack comes round rather than one. That gives you a large enough pool to build toward a hundred-card singleton deck with a commander instead of a forty-card deck.
The main set is entirely reprints, often at shifted rarities. The new cards are in the precons: ten per deck across the four Commander decks.
