How to Track Your MTG Arena Decks and Wins

Arena keeps a match history, but it doesn't keep a real per-deck record, especially for a digital-only deck like Historic Brawl. Here's how to log wins, losses and opponents against a deck in TurnZero HQ so that record actually survives.

1. Add the deck first

Import or build the Brawl, Historic Brawl, or other digital-only deck in TurnZero HQ the same way you'd add a paper deck. A deck marked as played on Arena gets an Arena chip on your deck list, separate from your paper decks, so the two records never blur together.

2. Log the result right after the match

Open the deck and log a result: win, loss, or draw. Add the win condition (combat, alternate win, or concede, since a large share of Arena games actually end that way) and, if you want it, both players' life totals when the game ended.

3. Tag who you played, if it was a friend

If your opponent has a TurnZero HQ account and you're friends, or you've added them as a guest for your paper pod roster, you can attach that name to the game instead of leaving it blank. Their display name is saved with the game, so it still reads correctly even if they later rename or delete their account.

4. Check the deck's record any time

Every logged game rolls into that deck's overall record: games played, wins and losses. For a deck that can only be played on Arena, like Historic Brawl, this is the only way it accumulates a record at all inside the app.

Why Arena's Own History Isn't Enough

MTG Arena will tell you your last several results, but it doesn't hold onto a lifetime win rate per deck, and it has no idea one of your decks is the same brew you've been tuning for three months. A Brawl deck can only be played on Arena in the first place, since Brawl and Historic Brawl are digital-only formats, so if you're not logging it somewhere, that deck's record is zero-zero forever no matter how many games you actually win with it.

Log the result right after the game, before the next one replaces it in your memory.

Use Concede as the win condition when that's how it actually ended, rather than forcing it into another category.

Tag the opponent when you can, so a rivalry against a specific friend shows up as one, not five unconnected rows.

Treat the record as a running log, not a live scoreboard: it has no seats or board state behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does TurnZero HQ sync with MTG Arena automatically?

No. There's no API for that, so results are logged by hand, the same way you'd write down a paper game. What you get in exchange is a permanent per-deck record that Arena's own match history doesn't keep for you long-term.

Does an Arena game affect my deck's MMR or my play stats the same way a paper game does?

No. An Arena result updates that deck's win/loss record, but it doesn't move Deck MMR, feed a play streak, or generate a recap. There's no pod, no seats and no board state behind it, so it's counted as exactly what it is: a result you typed in afterward, not a full game.

Can I log Arena games for a deck I also play on paper?

Yes. Games played on Arena and games played on paper both count toward the same deck's total games played, with the Arena share broken out separately on the deck screen so you can see how much of the record is which.

What if I don't remember the exact life totals?

Leave them blank. Every field on an Arena log besides the result itself is optional, so you can log a quick run of wins and losses at speed without reconstructing life totals from memory.
