Is recursion the same as reanimation?
Recursion is the broader term for getting any kind of card back from the graveyard, to hand or to the battlefield. Reanimation specifically means putting a creature or permanent directly onto the battlefield from the graveyard, which is a narrower, usually more explosive subset of it.
Why do creature-based recursion cards matter more in Commander?
A recursion effect attached to a creature is two cards' worth of value for one card's cost, and it survives a removal spell better than a one-shot spell would, since the creature can trade in combat or block before it's even answered.
Does recursion count as card draw?
