Shadowmoor's enemy colors
Eventide closes the Shadowmoor block and does for the enemy color pairs what Shadowmoor did for the allied ones: 85 of its 180 cards are hybrid, and the set is built around white-black, blue-red, black-green, red-white and green-blue.
It added retrace, which lets you cast a card from your graveyard by discarding a land, and its cards count colored mana symbols with chroma. The five enemy filter lands, Rugged Prairie, Cascade Bluffs, Flooded Grove, Fetid Heath and Twilight Mire, finished the filter-land cycle.
Bloom Tender, which taps for each color among your permanents, is its most played Commander card after the filter lands. Its two legends are Sapling of Colfenor and Ashling, the Extinguisher.

Retrace
You may cast this card from your graveyard by discarding a land card in addition to paying its other costs. It turns late-game lands into spells.
Chroma
An ability word for effects that count the colored mana symbols on your permanents or cards.
Where You Can Play It
Eventide is a single code with nothing banned anywhere.
Not Standard-legal, and never Pioneer-legal: Pioneer starts at Return to Ravnica (October 2012). Everything here is legal in Modern, Legacy, Vintage and Commander unless a ban list says otherwise. None of its cards is banned or restricted in any of those formats. Commons from any set are Pauper-legal; that isn't listed per set here.
Commanders
The legends this set is best known for. Tap one for its printings and what it costs.
