Tragic Arrogance card art

Tragic Arrogance

Sorcery MV 5

Tracked across real Commander games played through TurnZero HQ.

What it does

For each player, you choose from among the permanents that player controls an artifact, a creature, an enchantment, and a planeswalker. Then each player sacrifices all other nonland permanents they control.

Rulings

2 official rulings, in the order Wizards published them.

  • 2015-06-22

None of the chosen permanents are targets of Tragic Arrogance.

  • 2015-06-22

If a permanent has more than one of the affected types, it can count for any of them. For example, you could choose an artifact creature as the artifact you're sparing, another creature as the creature, and an enchantment creature as the enchantment. Similarly, you could choose an enchantment creature as both the creature and the enchantment that you're sparing, even if the player controls another creature and/or another enchantment.

Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

8 printings, newest first. Prices are the market figures Scryfall publishes, refreshed nightly — a printing with no figure shows a dash rather than a zero, because Scryfall genuinely publishes none for some of them.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Tragic Arrogance — a name search across every version, for the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only — no individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
