What it does
Defender (This creature can't attack.)
Flying
Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to and dealt by this creature.
Rulings
One official ruling, as Wizards published it.
- 2024-11-08
Fog Bank's prevention effect isn't considered while assigning combat damage from a creature with trample. For example, if it blocks a 5/5 creature with trample, that creature's controller must assign 2 of that creature's combat damage to Fog Bank and the remainder can be assigned to the defending player, planeswalker, or battle.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Prices from Scryfall, which tracks the TCGplayer and Cardmarket markets. They move daily and are a guide rather than a quote. Search TCGplayer for Fog Bank. It runs a name search across every version, which covers the printings TCGplayer publishes no direct link to.
Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
