Personal Mode: Full Tracking, Even When You're the Only One Playing Along
You know the table. Six people, one of them pulls out an app, and three others give the “we're not doing that tonight” look. Personal Mode is TurnZero for a table of one — you — with no buy-in required from anyone else.
The problem it solves
TurnZero's core design is built around the pod — one device, one table, everyone in. That's great when it works. But it quietly assumed something that isn't always true: that the group has to opt in before you get any value.
Personal Mode breaks that assumption. If you're the only one at the table who wants to track anything, you can — without asking anyone else to open an app, scan a code, or change how they play.
What's actually on the screen
Open Personal Mode and you get:
Three opponent slots, each tracking life independently (starting at 37 in Commander). Drag your own life total onto one to deal damage to just that opponent, or drag it onto the "hit ALL opponents" zone to hit the whole table at once — no need to tap through each one separately when you board-wipe.
Your own life total, front and center, with simple +/− controls.
A manual turn timer — "Your turn: Not running" until you hit Start Turn. You control exactly when your clock starts and stops, so it reflects your actual turns, not a guess.
Add Moment, for flagging the plays worth remembering while they're fresh — a combo going off, a big swing, a blowout — without breaking your focus to write a paragraph about it.
Board State Photo, sitting right on the same screen, so logging your board is a single tap away from the tracker you're already using.
Opponent life, your life, the turn timer, and Board State — all on one screen
It's everything you'd want from a full life tracker, minus the parts that only make sense with a full pod buying in.
How to use it
Start Night → Personal Mode, instead of Single Pod Setup.
Select your deck — same flow as a normal game, just scoped to you.
Play normally. Track your own life, hit opponents (individually or all at once) as damage happens, and tap Start Turn when your turn begins.
Drop an Add Moment whenever something worth remembering happens.
Use Board State Photo between turns to log what's on the table.
End Game — you get the same kind of instant feedback TurnZero gives pod games, just focused on your performance: how your deck played, how your turns paced out, what moments stood out.
Because it's the same underlying data model as a full pod game, a Personal Mode game still rolls into your deck's history — wins, moments, turn-length trends, and Board State data all count the same whether you played solo-tracked or full-pod.
Why it's worth paying for
This isn't a stripped-down freemium teaser — it's a premium feature built for a specific kind of player: someone who plays regularly (once a week or more), has real investment in their deck, and wants their tracking to keep up with that commitment even on nights when the rest of the table isn't running the app.
For that player, the math is simple. A few dollars a month buys a tool that:
Never depends on the rest of your pod adopting anything
Keeps building deck history and Board State data every single game, not just the nights everyone's bought in
Gives you real turn-by-turn and life-swing data to actually evaluate whether the deck is performing the way you think it is
If you're the person at the table who already knows your deck's win rate off the top of your head, Personal Mode is what turns that gut feeling into real numbers — every night, not just the nights the table cooperates.
Who this is for
The regular, invested player at a mixed table who still wants full tracking for themselves
Anyone testing a new deck and wanting turn-by-turn feedback without needing the whole pod's buy-in
Players building serious deck history across many different tables and playgroups, not just one regular group
Track your own side of the table.
No pod buy-in required — Personal Mode gives you a real life tracker, turn timer, and Board State access, solo.
