Legacy and Commander reprints

What this set is

Eternal Masters is the first Masters set built around eternal formats rather than Modern. Many of its cards were never Modern-legal, and it reprinted cards Legacy and Commander players had been asking for, including Force of Will, Wasteland, Mana Crypt, Sneak Attack and Vampiric Tutor.

Like the Modern Masters sets it is all reprints, and it was designed to draft well, with archetypes drawn from older blocks such as Odyssey's threshold and flashback.

Where You Can Play It

Format legality

Eternal Masters is a reprint set, so legality is a per-card question, and many of its cards are not Modern-legal.

Never Standard- or Pioneer-legal as a set. Several reprints are banned or restricted: Mana Crypt and Balance are banned in Commander (and restricted in Vintage), Karakas is banned in Commander, and Vampiric Tutor, Mystical Tutor and Necropotence are restricted in Vintage. Commons from any set are Pauper-legal; that isn't listed per set here.
