Experience counters
Commander 2015 is five two-color decks, one for each enemy color pair. Each face commander introduces experience counters: a player counter you gain from a specific action, which the commander then uses. Meren of Clan Nel Toth gets them when your creatures die and reanimates bigger creatures as they add up.
Myriad is its other new mechanic, a way to attack every opponent at once: when the creature attacks, you may create token copies attacking each other opponent. Thought Vessel first appeared here.
Themes
Experience counters
Counters a player has, not a permanent. They only go up, and each deck's commander reads them. Proliferate can add more.
Myriad
Whenever this creature attacks, for each opponent other than the defending player, you may create a token copy attacking that player. The tokens are exiled at end of combat.
Where You Can Play It
Commander 2015 shipped as five precon decks under a single code. Its new cards are legal in Commander, Legacy and Vintage. Reprints keep their own legality.
Never Standard-, Pioneer- or Modern-legal for its new cards. Among the reprints, Sol Ring and Windfall are banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage, and Skullclamp is banned in Modern and Legacy. Commons from any set are Pauper-legal; that isn't listed per set here.
Commander
One per enemy color pair, each led by an experience-counter legend.
