Reprints and playtest cards
Mystery Booster 2 is the second Mystery Booster, a booster built for chaos draft: every pack draws from a wide pool of reprints from across Magic's history, so no two drafts look alike.
It also has 121 playtest cards, experimental designs that are not legal in any sanctioned format. Some of its reprints use a white border. Commander players will find staples such as Sol Ring and Arcane Signet in the reprint pool.
Where You Can Play It
Mystery Booster 2 has two kinds of card with different answers.
Every card is a reprint, and a reprint doesn't change legality: each card is legal exactly where it already was. Appearing here does not make a card Standard- or Pioneer-legal.
The 121 playtest cards are not legal in any sanctioned format, Commander included. A table can agree to play them under rule zero.
Never Standard-legal as a set. A reprint's legality is the card's own. Commons from any set are Pauper-legal; that isn't listed per set here.
Boosters, precons and singles from Mystery Booster 2 are on TCGplayer.
