Judgment of the Light Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Judgment of the Light is a 100-card set released August 8, 2013, with codes JOTL-EN000 to JOTL-EN099. 99 cards were new; one had appeared first on a sneak peek card, according to the catalog's release dates.

It starts several archetypes: the Bujin (eleven cards), LIGHT Beast-Warriors that search each other and protect each other from the hand or GY; the Umbral Horrors (five) with their Number 104 and Number C104; the Traptrix, Insects that search Hole Traps; the Star Seraphs; and the Super Defense Robots. The Mecha Phantom Beasts get eight more cards.

It changes the rarity mix: only five codes come as Ultimate Rares, and Star Eater, a Level 11 Synchro, is printed at Secret, Ultimate and Ghost Rare.

Cards and rarities

Judgment of the Light has 100 set codes, each starting JOTL-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

The 5 Ultimate Rares and the Ghost Rare count again beside their other rarity, which is why the rows add up to 106 printings for 100 set codes. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Playing it

No Judgment of the Light card is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

The Traptrix are built to fetch Hole Traps and are unaffected by them, so a Traptrix deck can play Trap Hole cards without hurting its own monsters.
