Number Hunters Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Number Hunters is a 60-card set released July 12, 2013, with codes NUMH-EN001 to NUMH-EN060. Fifty cards were new; ten were reprints from Generation Force, Photon Shockwave, Order of Chaos and Galactic Overlord, according to the catalog's release dates.

Like the Hidden Arsenals it is all foil, 40 Super Rares and 20 Secret Rares, but its theme is Xyz Monsters: 26 of its 60 cards, most of them Numbers such as Number 85: Crazy Box, Number 49: Fortune Tune and Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder, and five CXyz cards.

It also starts the Gimmick Puppets, seven Level 8 Machine cards built for Rank 8 Xyz, and adds four Chronomaly. Its prices are among the lowest in this list: on October 23, 2026 no printing was above $5 in 1st Edition.

Cards and rarities

Number Hunters has 60 set codes, each starting NUMH-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

Each code is printed at a single rarity, so the rows add up to the set's 60 cards. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Playing it

One card from Number Hunters is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026: Gimmick Puppet Nightmare is Forbidden. A Forbidden card cannot be played at all and a Limited card at one copy per deck; the rest of the set can be run at three.

The Gimmick Puppets are Level 8 monsters meant to be Xyz material for Rank 8, which is why the set pairs them with Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder.
