Destiny Soldiers Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Destiny Soldiers released November 17, 2016, with 60 cards under the DESO set code: 40 Super Rares and 20 Secret Rares, and no Commons or Rares.

30 cards were new to the TCG, between DESO-EN001 and EN037: eight Destiny HERO cards, thirteen Abyss Actor cards and nine Darklord cards. All 20 Secret Rares are among them.

The other 30 are Super Rare reprints from 2002 to 2012, placed after the new cards of their theme: earlier Destiny HERO cards such as Diamond Dude and Malicious, earlier Darklords such as Darklord Zerato, and DARK support such as Allure of Darkness and Dark Hole.

Cards and rarities

Destiny Soldiers has 60 set codes, each starting DESO-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

Each set code has one rarity, so the 60 set codes are also 60 printings. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Archetypes

Destiny HERO and Darklord have the most valuable cards in Destiny Soldiers. Abyss Actor, a new Pendulum theme, has the most cards.

Destiny HERO - Dystopia

DESO-EN004

A Fusion of 2 Destiny HEROes that burns for a Level 4 or lower Destiny HERO's ATK when Special Summoned, and destroys a card on either turn while its ATK differs from its original ATK.

Destiny HERO - Dark Angel

DESO-EN005

Discards itself with 3 Destiny HEROes in your GY to Special Summon one to your opponent's field, and banishes itself in your Standby Phase to stack Normal Spells on both Decks.

Destiny HERO - Celestial

DESO-EN006

Destroys an opponent's face-up Spell for 500 damage when it attacks, and with an empty hand banishes itself and another Destiny HERO from the GY to draw 2.

Darklord Tezcatlipoca

DESO-EN031

Can be discarded in place of a Darklord being destroyed, and pays 1000 LP on either turn to copy a Darklord Spell or Trap's effect from your GY.

Banishment of the Darklords

DESO-EN034

Adds another Darklord card from your Deck to your hand.

Abyss Actor - Evil Heel

DESO-EN016

An Abyss Actor Pendulum Monster that cuts an opponent's monster's ATK by 1000 for each Abyss Actor you control when Summoned, and Sets an Abyss Script from the GY after destroying a monster.

Cards worth knowing

One more new Darklord and three reprints. Archlord Kristya, reprinted here, is Forbidden under the current list.

Darklord Nasten

DESO-EN032

Special Summons itself by discarding 2 other Darklord cards, and pays 1000 LP to copy a Darklord Spell or Trap's effect from your GY.

Dark Illusion

DESO-EN060

A Counter Trap that negates and destroys a card or effect targeting a DARK monster on the field.

Trade-In

DESO-EN051

Discard a Level 8 monster to draw 2 cards.

Allure of Darkness

DESO-EN044

Draw 2 cards, then banish a DARK monster from your hand, or send your whole hand to the GY if you have none.

The chase card: Destiny HERO - Dystopia

Destiny HERO - Dystopia

DESO-EN004

Rarity Secret Rare

Set code DESO-EN004

1st Edition market price, October 22, 2026 $18.83

The Secret Rare Destiny HERO - Dystopia (DESO-EN004) is Destiny Soldiers' chase card, at $18.83 on October 22, 2026, just ahead of the Secret Rare Darklord Tezcatlipoca at $17.47.

It is a Level 8 DARK Warrior Fusion Monster for 2 Destiny HERO monsters, with 2800 ATK. When it is Special Summoned it deals damage equal to the ATK of a Level 4 or lower Destiny HERO in your GY, and while its ATK differs from its original ATK it can destroy a card on the field as a Quick Effect, resetting its ATK.

It is printed only as a Secret Rare in this set.

Rarity is in the foil rather than the set code, so check it before you price the copy in your hand. Reading the set code and rarity →

Playing it

One card in Destiny Soldiers is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026: Archlord Kristya is Forbidden.

Darklord Tezcatlipoca, Darklord Nasten and the other new Darklords copy the effects of Darklord Spells and Traps from the GY for 1000 LP, so the theme's Spells and Traps, such as Darklord Contact and Darklord Enchantment, get used twice.
