Force of the Breaker Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Force of the Breaker is a 69-card set released May 16, 2007, with codes FOTB-EN000 to FOTB-EN068. 66 cards were new; Volcanic Rocket, Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle and Crystal Beacon had appeared first on promotional cards, according to the catalog's release dates.

It has two new archetypes. Fourteen Crystal Beast cards turn into Continuous Spells when destroyed instead of going to the GY, built around the Field Spell Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins. Eight Volcanic cards and three Blaze Accelerator Spells form a FIRE Pyro deck that throws monsters at the opponent's.

Like Strike of Neos, it adds nine Secret Rares, Volcanic Rocket at FOTB-EN000 and eight more from FOTB-EN061, mostly DARK Fiends, to the usual 60 cards with their 25 Ultimate Rares.

Cards and rarities

Force of the Breaker has 69 set codes, each starting FOTB-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

The 25 Ultimate Rares count again beside their regular rarity, which is why the rows add up to 94 printings for 69 set codes. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Crystal Beasts and Volcanics

The set's two new archetypes, with the cards that hold each of them together.

Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus

FOTB-EN007

When Summoned, place a Crystal Beast from your hand, Deck or GY in your Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell. Destroyed on the field, it can go there itself.

Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger

FOTB-EN004

Gains 400 ATK when it attacks, and like every Crystal Beast it can become a Continuous Spell when destroyed on the field.

Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins

FOTB-EN045

A Field Spell whose effects grow with the number of Crystal Beasts in your Spell & Trap Zone, from protecting itself to halving battle damage.

Volcanic Rocket

FOTB-EN000

When Summoned, add a Blaze Accelerator card from your Deck or GY to your hand. It is the set's FOTB-EN000 Secret Rare.

Volcanic Shell

FOTB-EN009

Once per turn, while it is in your GY, pay 500 LP to add another Volcanic Shell from your Deck to your hand.

Cards worth knowing

Four more cards from Force of the Breaker. Several of its monsters discard themselves to search a Field Spell.

Raiza the Storm Monarch

FOTB-EN026

When Tribute Summoned, put a card on the field on top of the Deck.

Harpie Queen

FOTB-EN020

Its name becomes Harpie Lady on the field and in the GY. Discard it to add Harpies' Hunting Ground from your Deck to your hand.

Gravekeeper's Commandant

FOTB-EN015

Discard it to add Necrovalley from your Deck to your hand.

Eradicator Epidemic Virus

FOTB-EN068

Tribute a DARK monster with 2500 or more ATK and name Spell or Trap; that type is destroyed in your opponent's hand, field and draws for three turns.

Playing it

No Force of the Breaker card is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

A Crystal Beast placed as a Continuous Spell stays on the field after it is destroyed, so it still counts for Rainbow Ruins and can come back with cards such as Crystal Promise.
