Gold Series 3 is a 50-card reprint set released June 18, 2010, with codes GLD3-EN001 to GLD3-EN050. Every card had been printed before; the most common first printings are Duel Terminal 1 and Magician's Force, with eight each.

Its two biggest groups are nine Blackwing cards, including Blackwing Armor Master and Blackwing Armed Wing, and nine Amazoness cards. The rest is a mix of Synchro-era staples such as Thunder King Rai-Oh, Stardust Dragon and Plaguespreader Zombie.

Eighteen cards are Gold Rares and 32 are Commons. TCGplayer prices the set only as Limited Edition, so the prices here are Limited Edition. No card in it is on the Forbidden & Limited List.

Cards and rarities

Gold Series 3 has 50 set codes, each starting GLD3-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

RarityCardsWhat they are
Common32
Gold Rare18Eighteen cards, among them Thunder King Rai-Oh, Stardust Dragon, Elemental HERO Prisma and Mystical Space Typhoon.

Each code is printed at a single rarity, so the rows add up to the set's 50 cards. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Limited market price, October 23, 2026 $17.26

The Gold Rare Thunder King Rai-Oh (GLD3-EN020) was the set's most valuable card on October 23, 2026, at $17.26 as Limited Edition. The Gold Rare Stardust Dragon was next at $9.48.

It is a Level 4 LIGHT Thunder with 1900 ATK. While it is face-up, neither player can add cards from the Deck to the hand except by drawing, and you can send it to the GY to negate an opponent's Special Summon of exactly 1 monster and destroy that monster.

Rarity is in the foil rather than the set code, so check it before you price the copy in your hand. Reading the set code and rarity →

Playing it

No Gold Series 3 card is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

Thunder King Rai-Oh's first effect stops your own searches too, so it fits best in a deck that relies on drawing rather than on cards that add from the Deck.
