Top rarity Secret Rare

Breakers of Shadow released January 14, 2016, with 100 cards under the BOSH set code: 44 Commons, 4 Short Prints, 20 Rares, 14 Super Rares, 10 Ultra Rares and 8 Secret Rares. Unlike the 2014 and 2015 core sets, it has no Ultimate Rares or Ghost Rare, so each code has one rarity.

98 of the 100 cards were new to the TCG. The other two, including Engraver of the Mark, have an earlier 2015 printing in the catalog.

Destruction Sword and Dinomist get nine cards each and Shiranui eight. Destruction Sword is built around Buster Blader, the Destruction Swordmaster, and Kozmo gets five more cards, the most valuable group in the set.

Cards and rarities

Breakers of Shadow has 100 set codes, each starting BOSH-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

Each set code has one rarity, so the 100 set codes are also 100 printings. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Playing it

No card in Breakers of Shadow is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

Kozmo monsters trade themselves in: most of them banish themselves or get destroyed to Special Summon or search a bigger Kozmo, and Kozmojo turns that into removal. Dark Eclipser is one of the large monsters at the top of that chain.
