Flaming Eternity Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Flaming Eternity is a 60-card set released March 1, 2005, with codes FET-EN001 to FET-EN060. All 60 cards were new.

Like the two sets before it, every Rare, Super Rare and Ultra Rare also comes as an Ultimate Rare, 25 in all, so the set has 85 printings. The catalog lists no Short Prints for it.

Its best-known cards are mostly Spells and Traps: Lightning Vortex, Swords of Concealing Light, A Feather of the Phoenix, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast and Deck Devastation Virus. The monsters include Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, Granmarg the Rock Monarch, Gearfried the Swordmaster and the next steps of the Silent Swordsman and Ultimate Insect LV lines.

Cards and rarities

Flaming Eternity has 60 set codes, each starting FET-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

The 25 Ultimate Rares count again beside their regular rarity, which is why the rows add up to 85 printings for 60 set codes. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. The monsters

Flaming Eternity has no large archetype. These are its monsters that later decks were built around.

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

FET-EN005

In your next Standby Phase after it is destroyed by a card effect, it Special Summons itself from the GY and destroys every Spell and Trap on the field.

Granmarg the Rock Monarch

FET-EN009

When Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 Set card on the field.

Silent Swordsman LV5

FET-EN008

Unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. After it deals battle damage with a direct attack, it can become Silent Swordsman LV7 in your next Standby Phase.

Gatling Dragon

FET-EN035

A Fusion of Barrel Dragon and Blowback Dragon. Once per turn, toss 3 coins and destroy up to that many monsters on the field, one per heads.

King Dragun

FET-EN036

A Fusion of Lord of D. and Divine Dragon Ragnarok. Your opponent cannot target Dragons with card effects, and once per turn it Special Summons a Dragon from your hand.

Playing it

No Flaming Eternity card is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys only returns if a card effect destroys it, not a battle, so decks that play it destroy it themselves with their own cards to clear the Spells and Traps on the field.
