Rise of Destiny is a 60-card set released November 20, 2004, with codes RDS-EN001 to RDS-EN060. All 60 cards were new.

It follows Soul of the Duelist's format: every Rare, Super Rare and Ultra Rare also comes as an Ultimate Rare, 25 in all. It continues that set's LV lines with Mystic Swordsman LV6 and Ultimate Insect LV3 and starts a new one, Silent Swordsman.

Its other groups are a Harpie package, with Harpie Lady 1, 2 and 3 and the Field Spell Harpies' Hunting Ground, and single cards that saw long use, such as Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch, Monster Reincarnation and Divine Wrath.

Cards and rarities

Rise of Destiny has 60 set codes, each starting RDS-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

RarityCardsWhat they are
Common35The catalog lists 7 of these codes at Short Print as well.
Short Print7Commons the catalog marks as packed less often than the rest; each is also listed as a Common.
Rare14
Super Rare7
Ultra Rare4
Ultimate Rare25Every Rare, Super Rare and Ultra Rare code, each also printed at its regular rarity.

The 25 Ultimate Rares and the 7 codes listed at both Common and Short Print count twice, which is why the rows add up to 92 printings for 60 set codes. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Playing it

No Rise of Destiny card is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

Thestalos needs a Tribute Summon to use its effect, like Zaborg and Mobius before it, so it pairs with cards that give you a monster to Tribute.
