The Secret Forces Card List and Set Guide

Overview

The Secret Forces released February 12, 2015, with 60 cards under the THSF set code: 40 Super Rares and 20 Secret Rares, and no Commons or Rares.

The first 32 cards, THSF-EN001 to EN032, were new to the TCG: nine Yosenju cards, twelve Nekroz cards and eleven Ritual Beast cards. Every one of the 20 Secret Rares is among them.

The other 28 cards are Super Rare reprints, most of them Ritual support from 2002 to 2013: Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, the Djinn and Gishki monsters, Advanced Ritual Art and Preparation of Rites, plus general cards such as Royal Decree and Vanity's Emptiness.

Cards and rarities

The Secret Forces has 60 set codes, each starting THSF-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

Each set code has one rarity, so the 60 set codes are also 60 printings. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Archetypes

Nekroz, Ritual Beast and Yosenju make up all 32 new cards. Nekroz has the most value in the set, and its Ritual Monsters are most of the chase list.

Nekroz of Brionac

THSF-EN014

A Level 6 Nekroz Ritual Monster. Discard it to search another Nekroz monster, or shuffle up to 2 monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck back into the Deck.

Nekroz Mirror

THSF-EN020

A Ritual Spell for any Nekroz Ritual Monster that can use Nekroz monsters in your GY as Tributes by banishing them, and with no monsters on your field it searches a Nekroz Spell.

Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz

THSF-EN010

Can be the entire Tribute for one Nekroz Ritual Monster. When a card effect Tributes it, it adds a Warrior Nekroz Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand.

Ritual Beast Tamer Lara

THSF-EN022

A Level 1 Ritual Beast Tamer that, when Normal Summoned, Special Summons a Ritual Beast from your GY.

Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio

THSF-EN028

A Ritual Beast Fusion Special Summoned by banishing a Ritual Beast Tamer and a Spiritual Beast you control. It is unaffected by other effects when it attacks, and can return to the Extra Deck to bring back two banished pieces.

Mayosenju Daibak

THSF-EN001

A Level 10 Yosenju Pendulum Monster that can only be Special Summoned by Pendulum Summon. When Summoned it returns up to 2 cards on the field to the hand, then goes back to your hand in the End Phase.

Reprints worth knowing

The reprints back up the Ritual themes. Three of them, Djinn Releaser of Rituals, Abyss Dweller and Vanity's Emptiness, are Forbidden under the current list.

Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands

THSF-EN033

When Normal or Flip Summoned, it adds a Ritual Monster or a Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand.

Burial from a Different Dimension

THSF-EN051

A Quick-Play Spell that returns up to 3 banished monsters to the GY, which helps decks that banish their own monsters as a cost.

Nekroz of Valkyrus

THSF-EN017

A Level 8 Nekroz that negates an attack and ends the Battle Phase by discarding itself, or Tributes up to 2 monsters to draw the same number of cards.

Nekroz of Trishula

THSF-EN015

A Level 9 Nekroz that banishes one card each from your opponent's hand, field and GY when Ritual Summoned, and discards itself to protect a Nekroz from a targeting effect.

Playing it

Four cards in The Secret Forces are on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026. Djinn Releaser of Rituals, Abyss Dweller and Vanity's Emptiness are Forbidden, and Divine Wind of Mist Valley is Limited.

Nekroz Ritual Monsters are each Summoned without using a monster of their own Level, and most of them have an effect you use by discarding them from the hand. That is why Shurit and the Nekroz Ritual Spells, which can banish Nekroz monsters from the GY as Tributes, are in the same set.
