Pyke in Riftbound
Pyke has 1 Legend, 1 Signature card and 2 champion units in the released Riftbound sets. Here is every one, what it does, and how they fit together in a Pyke deck.
Pyke's Legend
A Pyke deck is led by Pyke, Bloodharbor Ripper, which plays Fury and Chaos. The Legend is the card that leads your deck: its tag names your champion and its two domains are the only ones your other cards can come from.
| Card | Set | Domain | Rules text |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pyke, Bloodharbor Ripper | Unleashed | Fury and Chaos | [1], [Exhaust]: Return a friendly unit at a battlefield to its owner's hand. Play a Gold gear token exhausted. (It has "[Reaction][>] Kill this, [Exhaust]: [Add] [Any Power].") |
Text is as Riot's card gallery gives it, with icons in brackets: [1] is 1 Energy, [Any Power] is 1 Power of any domain and [Exhaust] means turn the card sideways. Every Riftbound Legend →
Pyke's Signature cards
Pyke has 1 Signature card. A Signature card carries one champion's tag, and only a deck whose Legend names that champion can play it. Your deck can hold at most 3 Signature cards in total, counting copies.
| Card | Set | Type | Domain | Cost | Rules text |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Death from Below | Unleashed | Signature spell | Fury and Chaos | 4 | Kill a unit at a battlefield. Then, if it had 3 [Might] or less, you may play this from your trash for [Any Power]. |
Pyke's champion units
Pyke has 2 champion units across 1 set. One copy of a champion unit sits out as your Chosen Champion, which must carry your Legend's tag, so these are the cards a Pyke deck picks it from. Each has its own name, and the 3-copy limit counts each name apart.
| Card | Set | Domain | Rarity | Cost | Might | Rules text |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pyke, Dockside Butcher | Unleashed | Fury | Epic | 3 | 2 | [Hidden] (Hide now for [Any Power] to react with later for [0].) [Ganking] (I can move from battlefield to battlefield.) You may pay [Fury] as an additional cost to play me. When you play me, if you paid the additional cost, ready me and give me +2 [Might] this turn. |
| Pyke, Returned | Unleashed | Chaos | Rare | 3 | 3 | [Hidden] (Hide now for [Any Power] to react with later for [0].) [Backline] (I must be assigned combat damage last.) Once each turn, when an enemy unit dies while I'm at a battlefield, play a Gold gear token exhausted. (It has "[Reaction][>] Kill this, [Exhaust]: [Add] [Any Power].") |
Building aPyke deck
A Riftbound deck has 1 Legend, a main deck of at least 40 cards, 12 runes and 3 battlefields. Every card in the main deck has to come from your Legend's two domains, which decides which of Pyke's cards each Legend can use.
| Legend | Domains | Chosen Champion options | Signature cards in its domains |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pyke, Bloodharbor Ripper | Fury and Chaos | Pyke, Dockside Butcher, Pyke, Returned | Death from Below |
A champion unit can be your Chosen Champion only if every domain it has is one of your Legend's two. Units of other champions can still go in your main deck as ordinary cards if their domains fit. The full deck-building rules → Published Riftbound decks →
