Unleashed Set Guide

The second Riftbound set of 2026. It adds experience points to the game, with Hunt to earn XP and Level to spend it, and its chase card is a monster rather than a champion.

Five Unleashed overnumbered cards fanned out: Lonely Poro, Diana, Scorn of the Moon, Baron Nashor in front, LeBlanc, Deceiver and Vex, Gloomist.

Unleashed is the second Riftbound set of 2026, out three months after Spiritforged and almost the same size, at 219 numbered cards. Eleven of its 12 Legends name a champion with no Legend before; the twelfth is a new Master Yi.

Its big idea is XP. Units with Hunt gain XP when they conquer or hold, and cards with Level get stronger once you have enough: Level 6 means the effect switches on while you have 6 or more XP. Kha'Zix, Voidreaver and Poppy, Keeper of the Hammer are Legends that earn XP themselves, and the set ships an XP Tracker token to count it.

Ionia is the region with the most cards, 28 in the main set, and Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles follow. Six Poros are reprinted above the printed total, and they turned out to be some of the set's most valuable cards.

Cards and rarities

Unleashed has 219 cards in its main set. Each one prints its number over that total at the bottom left, after the set code, as in UNL · 001/219.

RarityMain-set cardsWhat they include

Uncommon63All 15 battlefields are Uncommon.
Rare60The 12 Legends and 24 champion units among them.
Epic36The 12 Signature cards and 12 champion units among them.

Above the main set

Riot's card gallery lists 288 Unleashed cards in all. The other 69 are printings and extras outside the main set:

PrintingCardsWhat they are
Overnumbered (220 to 238)19Six Poros (Common), all 12 Legends (Rare) and Baron Nashor (Epic).
Alternate art (a)30Epic or Rare in Riot's data.
Signature printing (*)12Asterisked printings of the 12 Legends, 226* to 237*.
Tokens (T01 to T08)8Including the Baron Pit and Brush battlefield tokens and the XP Tracker.

Unlike Spiritforged, Unleashed gives its signature printings to its Legends rather than to champion units. Riot's data rates its extras Common, Rare or Epic; the set has no Showcase cards. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the extras apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the overnumbered and signature printings read as two separate goals. The Legends

Unleashed's 12 Legends cover the same 12 domain pairs as Origins and Spiritforged. Eleven are new champions; Master Yi, Wuju Master is the second Master Yi Legend after Origins'.

Each Legend has one Signature card in the set, an Epic that only a deck led by that champion can play. A deck can hold at most 3 Signature cards in total.

New keywords

Seven keywords appear for the first time in Unleashed, more than in any other 2026 set. Hunt and Level are the XP pair; Ambush lets a unit be played as a Reaction.

KeywordReminder text, as printedMain-set cards
HuntWhen I conquer or hold, gain 2 XP.13
LevelWhile you have 6+ XP, get the effect.15
AmbushYou may play me as a [Reaction] to a battlefield where you have units.12
StunA stunned unit doesn't deal combat damage this turn.12
BuffGive it a +1 [Might] buff if it doesn't have one.8
PredictWhen I die, look at the top two cards of your Main Deck. Recycle any of them and put the rest back in any order.6
BacklineI must be assigned combat damage last.4

Icons are written in brackets, as on each card's page: [1] is 1 Energy, [Any Power] is 1 Power of any domain, and [Might] is the Might icon. Reminder text is a summary; Riot's Core Rules are final.

Battlefields

Unleashed has 15 battlefields. Gardens of Becoming feeds the XP theme, The Academy and Forgotten Library reward spells, and Vaults of Helia and Frozen Fortress make holding or standing on them cost something.

BattlefieldWhat it does
Abandoned Hall When a player plays a spell, they may give a unit they control here +1 [Might] this turn.
Altar of Blood If a unit here would die during combat, its controller may pay [Any Power][Any Power][Any Power] to heal it, exhaust it, and recall it instead.
Amateur Recital When you hold here, you may move a unit at a battlefield to its base.
Black Flame Altar Units here with [Temporary] have [Shield]. (+1 [Might] while they're defenders.)
Dusk Rose Lab At the start of your Beginning Phase, you may kill a unit you control here to draw 1. (This happens before scoring.)
Forbidding Waste While a unit here is defending alone, it has -2 [Might]. (It's alone if there are no other friendly units here.)
Forgotten Library While you control this battlefield, when you play a spell, if you spent [4] or more, [Predict]. (Look at the top card of your Main Deck. You may recycle it.)
Frozen Fortress At the start of each player's Beginning Phase, deal 1 to each unit here. (This happens before scoring.)
Gardens of Becoming Units here have "[Exhaust]: Gain 1 XP."
Ripper's Bay When a unit here is returned to a player's hand, that player may pay [1] to channel 1 rune exhausted.
Star Spring The first time a player plays a non-token unit here each turn, they may move another unit they control here to its base.
The Academy When you hold here, give your next spell this turn [Repeat] equal to its base cost. (You may pay the additional cost to repeat the spell's effect.)
Trapping Grounds When you conquer here, if you assigned 3 or more excess damage, play a 1 [Might] Bird unit token with [Deflect].
Valley of Idols When a player plays a unit here, they may pay [1] to [Buff] it. (Give it a +1 [Might] buff if it doesn't have one.)
Vaults of Helia When you hold here, your non-token units cost [1] more to play this turn.
