New keywords Equip, Weaponmaster, Repeat, Unique

Spiritforged is the first Riftbound set after Origins, the game's launch set from October 2025. It is smaller, at 221 numbered cards against Origins' 298, and every one of its 12 Legends names a champion who had no Legend before: Ornn, Azir, Irelia, Ezreal, Fiora and seven more.

Its theme is Equipment. Thirty-one main-set cards carry the Equipment tag, and the new Equip keyword is how they attach to your units. Weaponmaster units equip themselves for less when they enter play, and Legends like Jax, Grandmaster at Arms and Lucian, Purifier reward a deck full of gear.

Spiritforged also introduces Gold, a gear token several cards and the Treasure Hoard battlefield make, and Azir's Sand Soldier unit tokens.

Cards and rarities

Spiritforged has 221 cards in its main set. Each one prints its number over that total at the bottom left, after the set code, as in SFD · 001/221.

RarityMain-set cardsWhat they include

Uncommon63All 15 battlefields are Uncommon.

Epic38The 14 Signature cards and 12 champion units among them.

Above the main set

Riot's card gallery lists 288 Spiritforged cards in all. The other 67 are printings and extras outside the main set:

PrintingCardsWhat they are
Overnumbered (222 to 251)30New art for 12 champion units, 6 Seals and all 12 Legends. Showcase in Riot's data.
Alternate art (a)24Showcase.
Signature printing (*)12Asterisked printings of champion units numbered 223 to 239. Showcase.
Token (T03)1Gold.

Most of Spiritforged's overnumbered champion units are new printings of Origins champions, such as Ahri, Inquisitive and Teemo, Strategist. The Seals are Origins gear too. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the extras apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the overnumbered and signature printings read as two separate goals. The Legends

A Legend sets your deck's two domains and names the champion your Chosen Champion must match. Spiritforged's 12 Legends cover 12 of the 15 possible domain pairs, the same 12 Origins covered.

Each Legend has a Signature card in the set: an Epic that carries the champion's tag, so only a deck led by that Legend can play it. Ornn is the exception with three, all Equipment. A deck can hold at most 3 Signature cards in total.

New keywords

Four keywords appear for the first time in Spiritforged. Equip is the one the set is built on; Unique is printed on only Ornn's three Signature Equipment.

KeywordReminder text, as printedMain-set cards
Equip[Fury]: Attach this to a unit you control.40
WeaponmasterWhen you play me, you may [Equip] one of your Equipment to me for [Any Power] less, even if it's already attached.11
RepeatYou may pay the additional cost to repeat this spell's effect.16
UniqueYour deck can have only 1 card with this name.3

Icons are written in brackets, as on each card's page: [1] is 1 Energy, [Any Power] is 1 Power of any domain, and [Might] is the Might icon. Reminder text is a summary; Riot's Core Rules are final.

Battlefields

Spiritforged has 15 battlefields. Several feed the set's themes, like Forge of the Fluft and Veiled Temple for Equipment and Emperor's Dais for Azir's Sand Soldiers, and Forgotten Monument and Rockfall Path change how a battlefield can be scored or played to.

BattlefieldWhat it does
Emperor's Dais When you conquer here, you may pay [1] and return a unit you control here to its owner's hand. If you do, play a 2 [Might] Sand Soldier unit token here.
Forge of the Fluft While you control this battlefield, friendly legends have "[Exhaust]: Attach an Equipment you control to a unit you control."
Forgotten Monument Players can't score here until their third turn.
Hall of Legends When you conquer here, you may pay [1] to ready your legend.
Marai Spire While you control this battlefield, friendly [Repeat] costs cost [1] less.
Minefield When you conquer here, put the top 2 cards of your Main Deck into your trash.
Ornn's Forge While you control this battlefield, the first friendly non-token gear played each turn costs [1] less.
Power Nexus When you hold here, you may pay [Any Power][Any Power][Any Power][Any Power] to score 1 point.
Ravenbloom Conservatory When you defend here, reveal the top card of your Main Deck. If it's a spell, put it in your hand. Otherwise, recycle it.
Rockfall Path Units can't be played here.
Seat of Power When you conquer here, draw 1 for each other battlefield you or allies control.
Sunken Temple When you conquer here with one or more [Mighty] units, you may pay [1] to draw 1. (A unit is Mighty while it has 5+ [Might].)
The Papertree When you hold here, each player channels 1 rune exhausted.
Treasure Hoard When you conquer here, you may pay [1] to play a Gold gear token exhausted.
Veiled Temple When you conquer here, you may ready a friendly gear. If it's an Equipment, you may detach it.

Every deck brings 3 battlefields with different names, and a 1v1 game uses one of each player's. How battlefields and scoring work →

The chase card: Ahri, Inquisitive

Card number 227*/221
Rarity Showcase
Market price, September 30, 2026 $3,334.49
Illustrator Shawn Tan

The signature printing of Ahri, Inquisitive (227*) is the card Spiritforged is opened for. At $3,334.49 on September 30 it was the most valuable card in the set, more than twice the next one, and the most valuable card of any 2026 Riftbound set.

Spiritforged's top five cards are all signature printings of champion units: Ahri, then Irelia, Fervent ($1,572.06), Vayne, Hunter ($1,224.22), Soraka, Wanderer ($897.53) and Teemo, Strategist ($747.54).

Ahri, Inquisitive is an Origins champion, and Spiritforged prints her twice, both with Shawn Tan's art. The asterisk alone is worth about five times the price of the same art without it. The Origins Epic she first appeared as was $6.90.
