Ancient Prophecy Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Ancient Prophecy is a 100-card set released September 1, 2009, with codes ANPR-EN000 to ANPR-EN099 and a token, ANPR-ENTK1, for 101 set codes in all. 99 cards were new, according to the catalog's release dates.

Its new archetype is the X-Sabers, eight EARTH Warriors and Beast-Warriors led by the Synchro XX-Saber Gottoms, now Forbidden. The Koa'ki Meiru get eleven more cards, and Earthbound Immortal Cusillu and Chacu Challhua join the two from Raging Battle.

Smaller groups include the first Flamvell, Fortune Lady, Jester and Infernity cards. Ancient Fairy Dragon is printed at Ultra, Ultimate and Ghost Rare.

Cards and rarities

Ancient Prophecy has 101 set codes, each starting ANPR-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

The 10 Ultimate Rares and the Ghost Rare count again beside their other rarity, which is why the rows add up to 112 printings for 101 set codes. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version.
