Magician's Force Card List and Set Guide

Overview

Magician's Force is a 108-card set released October 10, 2003, with codes MFC-000 to MFC-107. 107 of the 108 cards were new; XYZ-Dragon Cannon first appeared in the 2003 Collectible Tins, according to the catalog's release dates.

The set added two mechanics. Ten Union monsters can equip themselves to another monster and come off again, led by X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head and Z-Metal Tank, which combine into XYZ-Dragon Cannon. And Spell Counters arrive on Spellcasters such as Breaker the Magical Warrior, Skilled Dark Magician and Royal Magical Library.

Eight Amazoness cards and four Dark Magician cards round it out, and Dark Magician Girl, its MFC-000 Secret Rare, is by far its most valuable card.

The catalog lists no second code format for the set, so its 108 entries are its 108 cards.

Cards and rarities

Magician's Force has 108 set codes, each starting MFC- and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

Each MFC- code is printed at a single rarity, so the rows add up to the set's 108 cards. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Magicians, Unions and Amazoness

The set's themes are Dark Magician's support, the XYZ Union monsters and the Amazoness Warriors.

Dark Magician Girl

A Level 6 Spellcaster with 2000 ATK that gains 300 ATK for each Dark Magician or Magician of Black Chaos in the GY.

Dark Paladin

MFC-105

Special Summoned by banishing X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head and Z-Metal Tank from your field, with no Polymerization. It can discard a card to destroy a card your opponent controls.

Y-Dragon Head

MFC-005

A Union monster: once per turn it equips itself to X-Head Cannon for 400 ATK and DEF, or unequips and Special Summons itself.

Amazoness Swords Woman

Your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving it.

Magician's Force card list

Every set code in Magician's Force, in set code order, with each rarity it is printed at: 108 set codes in all, as listed in TurnZero HQ's catalog on October 23, 2026. Each name goes to that card's page, with today's price for every printing.

Playing it

5 cards from Magician's Force are on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026: Kaiser Colosseum, Magical Scientist, Mass Driver, Rivalry of Warlords and Spell Canceller are Forbidden. A Forbidden card cannot be played at all and a Limited card at one copy per deck; the rest of the set can be run at three.

A Union monster equipped to another monster takes its destruction in its place, so the XYZ pieces protect each other until you combine them into the Fusion, which cannot come back from the GY.
