Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG · 2003 Set Guide
The last set of 2003: 106 cards with fifteen Archfiend cards, the Guardians and their weapons, Exodia Necross, Skill Drain and Vampire Lord.
Dark Crisis is a 106-card set released December 1, 2003, with codes DCR-000 to DCR-105. All 106 cards were new.
More of its cards belong to an archetype than in any other 2003 set. Fifteen Archfiend cards, including Terrorking Archfiend, Skull Archfiend of Lightning and the Field Spell Pandemonium, make up the largest group; thirteen Guardian cards pair each Guardian monster with the Equip Spell it needs; and the Dark Scorpions get five more.
Dark Crisis also gave Exodia a second form, Exodia Necross, which is Summoned with Contract with Exodia once all five pieces are in your GY.
The catalog files 219 printings under the set, adding DCR-EN codes from another printing. This guide covers the 106 DCR- codes.
Dark Crisis has 106 set codes, each starting DCR- and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.
Each DCR- code is printed at a single rarity, so the rows add up to the set's 106 cards. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. Archfiends and Guardians are the set's two biggest groups, and Exodia Necross is the card that drew the most attention.
Terrorking Archfiend
DCR-072
An Archfiend you can only Normal Summon while you control another Archfiend. It costs 800 LP each Standby Phase, and when an opponent's card targets it, a die roll of 2 or 5 negates that effect.
Pandemonium
DCR-094
The Archfiend Field Spell: no one pays LP in the Standby Phase for Archfiends, and an Archfiend destroyed other than by battle searches a lower-Level Archfiend.
Guardian Grarl
DCR-007
Cannot be Summoned unless you control a face-up Gravity Axe - Grarl, its Equip Spell in the same set. If it is the only card in your hand, it can Special Summon itself.
Exodia Necross
DCR-020
Special Summoned only with Contract with Exodia. It cannot be destroyed by battle or Spell or Trap effects, gains 500 ATK each Standby Phase, and is destroyed unless all five Exodia pieces are in your GY.
Four more cards from Dark Crisis. Skill Drain and Final Countdown are Limited and Butterfly Dagger - Elma is Forbidden.
Vampire Lord
DCR-000
When it deals battle damage, declare Monster, Spell or Trap and your opponent sends one of that type from their Deck to the GY. Destroyed by an opponent's card effect, it comes back in your next Standby Phase.
Skill Drain
DCR-049
Pay 1000 LP to negate the effects of all face-up monsters on the field. It is Limited.
D.D. Warrior Lady
DCR-027
After damage calculation, when it battles an opponent's monster, it can banish that monster along with itself.
Final Countdown
DCR-091
Pay 2000 LP; 20 turns later, counting the turn you activate it, you win the Duel. It is Limited.

The Unlimited Exodia Necross was $14.97 the same day.
It is a Level 4 DARK Spellcaster with 1800 ATK that can only be Special Summoned with Contract with Exodia. It cannot be destroyed by battle or by Spell or Trap effects and grows by 500 ATK in each of your Standby Phases, but it is destroyed the moment any of the five Exodia pieces leaves your GY.
Rarity is in the foil rather than the set code, so check it before you price the copy in your hand. Reading the set code and rarity →
