Fabled Set Guide

Overview

Fabled is Disney Lorcana's ninth set and the one Core Constructed began with, leaving sets 1 to 4 out of the format. Most of the set brings those cards back: 170 of its 205 regular cards reprint cards from The First Chapter, Rise of the Floodborn, Into the Inklands and Ursula's Return.

The other 35 are new, including Powerline, Max Goof and Roxanne from A Goofy Movie, and Dumbo with Timothy Q. Mouse and The Magic Feather. Its regular cards split 34 or 35 per ink, with no dual-ink cards, and card 0, Bruno Madrigal - Undetected Uncle, sits before number 1.

Cards and rarities

Fabled has 243 cards. The collector line at the bottom of each card shows its number over 204, the count of regular cards, then the language and the set number 9, as in "1/204 · EN · 9". Cards numbered above 204 are the Epic, Enchanted and Iconic extras (Fabled also has a card numbered 0).

Every Epic, Enchanted and Iconic card is a foil reprint of a card from the same set with new art, so it plays exactly like the regular printing. That is why a Legendary and its Iconic can sit a thousand dollars apart. Reprints, Core Constructed, and two new rarities

Fabled's reprints carry cards forward into Core Constructed. When Core began with this set, sets 1 to 4 were left out of it, and Fabled reprinted 170 of their cards: 50 from Ursula's Return, 47 from The First Chapter, 37 from Into the Inklands and 36 from Rise of the Floodborn. A reprint has the same name and text as the original, so it counts as the same card for the four-copy limit.

Fabled also added the two rarities every set since has used. Epic cards are 18 foil reprints of cards from the set with new art, numbered 205 to 222. Iconics are two cards at the very top, numbered after the Enchanted run.

Illustrator Nicola Saviori

Fabled's chase card is one of Lorcana's first two Iconics: Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Prince, illustrated by Nicola Saviori. At $3,803.12 on September 30, 2026, it was the most valuable card of any 2025 or 2026 Lorcana set. The other Iconic, Minnie Mouse - Sweetheart Princess, was $2,838.89.

The Legendary Mickey at number 111 was $9.60, or $49.71 in foil.

Chase cards and prices

Fabled has the most valuable Enchanted run of the last two years: the median was about $296, and Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard was above $1,400 on its own.

Playing it

Every Fabled card is legal in Core Constructed. Core Constructed has used sets 9 (Fabled) onward since Attack of the Vine! released in July 2026, when sets 5 to 8 rotated out; sets 1 to 4 had left at the first rotation, with Fabled in 2025. Infinity Constructed allows every set.

Because so much of Fabled is reprints, it is the set that carried the first four sets' favorites into Core Constructed.
