23 as of October 2026: 21 single-player starter decks across sets 1 to 10 (three in The First Chapter, two in every set after it), and the two decks in the 2-Player Starter Set released May 8, 2026. Winterspell (set 11) was the first set with no starter decks.
They're TurnZero HQ's own editorial read, not an official Ravensburger rating. Power is a 1-5 read on how the deck does out of the box against the other starter decks. Difficulty is a 1-5 read on how much it asks of the player, from a deck that wins by questing every turn to one that has to time songs, challenges and card draw. A low power number doesn't make a deck a bad buy: every starter teaches the game, and most get much better with a handful of upgrades.
Sort the list by easiest to pilot and pick a pair of inks you like the look of. Decks that win by questing, like the Amber and Emerald decks, teach the turn structure without asking you to track much. If you're buying for two people at once, the 2-Player Starter Set has two decks and lore trackers in one box.
In Infinity Constructed, yes: it allows every set. In Core Constructed, only decks from set 9 (Fabled) onward are legal as of October 2026, and rotation moves that line once a year. Each upgrade guide says which of its picks are Core-legal. At a kitchen table, any deck is legal if everyone agrees.
Hyperia City (set 14) has a second 2-Player Starter Set, due October 23, 2026, after this list was last updated. Retailers list an Emerald and Sapphire Baymax deck and an Amethyst and Steel Madam Mim deck. We'll add both here once the set is out and the foil characters are confirmed.
Not here on purpose. Sealed starter decks go out of print and their prices move, and TurnZero HQ doesn't have a live feed for sealed Lorcana product. Each deck links to a live TCGplayer search instead, where the price you see is today's.
