Disney Lorcana · Set 10 · 2025 Set Guide
The set that introduced Boost: 24 characters that take cards under them for ink, most of them Whispers, beside the Gargoyles' first appearance and a detective cast led by Zootopia.
Whispers in the Well is Disney Lorcana's tenth set and the last of 2025. It introduced Boost, the mechanic Winterspell expanded in 2026, and two new classifications: 18 Whisper characters and 10 Gargoyles from the Gargoyles series.
Its 204 regular cards split evenly across the six inks, 34 each, with no dual-ink cards. 19 are Detectives, led by Zootopia's Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, and 9 are locations, more than in any 2026 set.
Whispers in the Well has 242 cards. The collector line at the bottom of each card shows its number over 204, the count of regular cards, then the language and the set number 10, as in "1/204 · EN · 10". Cards numbered above 204 are the Epic, Enchanted and Iconic extras.
Every Epic, Enchanted and Iconic card is a foil reprint of a card from the same set with new art, so it plays exactly like the regular printing. That is why a Legendary and its Iconic can sit a thousand dollars apart. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the regular cards by collector number and keeps Enchanted, Epic and Iconic cards apart as extras, so finishing the set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. Boost first appears here, on 24 regular cards. Once during your turn, you may pay the Boost cost to put the top card of your deck facedown under the character, and its other abilities count or react to the cards under it: Ariel - Ethereal Voice draws when you play a song, and Simba - King in the Making may play a character off the top of your deck.
The Gargoyles have their own rule, Stone by Day: a Gargoyle can't ready while you have 3 or more cards in hand. That pushes a Gargoyle deck to empty its hand quickly, which Goliath - Clan Leader enforces on every player.

Every Whispers in the Well card is legal in Core Constructed. Core Constructed has used sets 9 (Fabled) onward since Attack of the Vine! released in July 2026, when sets 5 to 8 rotated out; sets 1 to 4 had left at the first rotation, with Fabled in 2025. Infinity Constructed allows every set.
Boost costs ink every turn you use it, so it rewards a deck that can afford to spend a turn's ink on a character already in play rather than a new card. Winterspell's Boost support, such as Donald Duck - Fred Honeywell, makes that trade better.
Prerelease events started November 7, 2025, and wide release was November 14, 2025. Whispers in the Well is set 10.
A keyword with an ink cost, introduced in Whispers in the Well. Once during your turn, you may pay it to put the top card of your deck facedown under the character. Other abilities on the card count the cards under it.
It's the Gargoyles' drawback: a character with Stone by Day can't ready while you have 3 or more cards in your hand.
On September 30, 2026, the Iconic Ariel - Ethereal Voice (241) at about $1,483, then the Iconic Hades - Looking for a Deal (242) at about $1,075. Prices move daily, so check each card's page for the current figure.
