Seven sets from May 2007 to November 2008 that brought in the Sinnoh Pokémon and the Pokémon LV.X.

Chase cards from the Pokémon TCG Diamond & Pearl series fanned out: Darkrai LV.X, Lucario LV.X, Infernape LV.X in front, Lugia and Glaceon LV.X.

The sets in the series

The Diamond & Pearl series ran from May 1, 2007 to November 1, 2008: seven English sets. Together they hold 844 cards, and every one has a full guide.

The last column is what one copy of every card cost as singles, each at its cheapest priced variant and TCGplayer market price. For these sets that is usually an Unlimited or Normal copy, so a set in 1st Edition or Reverse Holofoil costs far more. Stormfront is the most expensive Diamond & Pearl series set to complete, and Diamond & Pearl the least.

What the Diamond & Pearl series changed

The Diamond & Pearl series swapped the EX series' Pokémon-ex and Gold Stars for the Pokémon LV.X, a card you put onto your Active Pokémon of the same name to level it up, keeping every attack and power below it. Every set in the series has between two and seven.

Secret rares were rare in this series: only Mysterious Treasures and Stormfront have cards above their printed total, and Stormfront's three SH shiny Pokémon started a list the Platinum sets continued.

What is a Pokémon LV.X?

A card you put onto your Active Pokémon of the same name, the way you evolve. It keeps every attack, Poké-Power and Poké-Body of the Pokémon under it. Diamond & Pearl introduced them, and the Platinum series kept them.
