Romance Dawn Set Guide
The first English One Piece booster: eight Leaders from the Supernovas, Wano, the Seven Warlords and Kaido's crew, and the Manga Shanks that is still one of the game's most valuable cards.
Overview
Romance Dawn is the first One Piece Card Game booster in English, released December 2, 2022. Its 121 card numbers run from OP01-001 to OP01-121, and its eight Leaders come from the Supernovas, the Land of Wano, the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the Animal Kingdom Pirates.
TCGplayer lists 156 printings: 121 base printings, 26 Parallels, 6 Box Toppers, a Manga Shanks and 2 DON!! cards. OP01's Parallels are the printings later sets list as Alternate Art; TCGplayer's label changed, not the kind of card.
Romance Dawn's's cards carry block 1, which left Standard on April 1, 2026. A card reprinted later with a newer block icon, or named on Bandai's exception lists, stays legal; the rest are for Extra Regulation, which allows every block.
Cards and rarities
TCGplayer lists 156 printings in Romance Dawn. 121 are base printings, the version of each card number with no special art, and the other 35 are special printings of those numbers and the set's DON!! cards.
Special printings
The rarity counts above are the 121 base printings. A special printing keeps its card's rarity, so a Parallel Super Rare is still marked SR. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set by its base printings and keeps every other printing as a separate tally, so finishing the set and chasing its special printings read as two separate goals. The chase card: Shanks
Romance Dawn's chase card is the Manga Shanks, the Secret Rare OP01-120 in its manga-panel printing, at $3,998.74 on October 22, 2026. It is worth nearly four times the next card, the Parallel Monkey.D.Luffy Leader at $1,023.34.
The same Shanks is $7.97 as a base printing and $76.68 as a Parallel. All three play the same; the Manga printing is the one collectors chase.

Playing it
Romance Dawn's two-color Leaders show a trade the game still makes: a second color's cards in exchange for 4 Life instead of 5. Kaido and Crocodile pair blue and purple, Law and Luffy green and red.
In Standard today, the set matters through its reprints. If you want to play an OP01 card at a Standard event, check whether it has a newer printing or is on Bandai's block exception list first.
Tournament play adds Bandai's banned and restricted lists and, since April 2026, Standard rotation by the block number printed on each card. Check Bandai's current announcements before an event. Deck building rules →
