Paramount War Set Guide

Overview

Paramount War is the second English booster, released March 10, 2023. Its Leaders come from the war at Marineford and the breakout from Impel Down: Edward.Newgate, Monkey.D.Garp, Emporio.Ivankov, Magellan and Smoker among them.

TCGplayer lists 156 printings: 121 base printings, 25 Alternate Arts, a Parallel, 6 Box Toppers, a Manga Portgas.D.Ace and 2 DON!! cards. Its base cards are 93 Characters, 16 Events, 8 Leaders and 4 Stages.

Paramount War's's cards carry block 1, which left Standard on April 1, 2026. A card reprinted later with a newer block icon, or named on Bandai's exception lists, stays legal; the rest are for Extra Regulation, which allows every block.

Cards and rarities

TCGplayer lists 156 printings in Paramount War. 121 are base printings, the version of each card number with no special art, and the other 35 are special printings of those numbers and the set's DON!! cards.

Special printings

The rarity counts above are the 121 base printings. A special printing keeps its card's rarity, so an Alternate Art Super Rare is still marked SR. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set by its base printings and keeps every other printing as a separate tally, so finishing the set and chasing its special printings read as two separate goals. Chase cards and prices

Outside the Manga Ace, Paramount War's top printings are its Alternate Art Leaders, led by Sanji at $126.90 and Monkey.D.Garp at $114.30.

These are each printing's TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices for a new set can move a long way in its first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price and its 90-day chart. How One Piece card prices work →

Playing it

Paramount War's Leaders lean on DON!! as a resource to spend, not just to attach: Zephyr returns 4 to K.O. a Character, Magellan grows when they return, and Garp shrinks costs as you give them out.

Its cards are block 1, so in Standard the set matters through later reprints and Bandai's exception lists.

Tournament play adds Bandai's banned and restricted lists and, since April 2026, Standard rotation by the block number printed on each card. Check Bandai's current announcements before an event. Deck building rules →
