Plasma Blast is the tenth Black & White set: 101 cards up to the printed total and four secret rares above it, Exeggcute, Virizion, Dusknoir and Rare Candy (102 to 105).

It closes the Team Plasma block and prints answers to it. Haxorus's Strike of the Champion Knocks Out a Team Plasma Defending Pokémon, and Silver Mirror protects a Pokémon other than a Pokémon-EX from the effects of Team Plasma Pokémon's attacks.

Cards and rarities

Plasma Blast has 105 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/101", next to the set code PLB.

The printed total is 101, so the 4 cards from 102 to 105 are secret rares. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. How set completion works →

What a complete set costs

One copy of every card in Plasma Blast, bought as singles, cost $2,601.79 on October 22, 2026. That is the 7th most expensive of the twelve sets in the Black & White series.

Complete set $2,601.79
Main set, 1 to 101 $1,922.26
4 secret rares $679.53
Top three cards $1,284.56 (49%)

The three most valuable cards, Palkia-EX, Dialga-EX and Genesect-EX, come to $1,284.56, or 49% of the total. Without them the set costs $1,317.23. Of the 105 cards, 78 were under $2.00, together $43.96; the other 27 add up to $2,557.83.

Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.

Playing it

No Plasma Blast card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. Every card in Plasma Blast is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on.

A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
