Star Wars: Unlimited · 2024 Set Guide
The first Star Wars: Unlimited set. It brought the Rebellion against the Empire, the keywords every later set builds on, and the Shield and Experience tokens.
Spark of Rebellion is the first Star Wars: Unlimited set. Its 252 cards are 148 units, 60 events, 18 leaders, 14 upgrades and 12 bases, and its story is the original trilogy's war: Imperial is on 55 cards and Rebel on 53, more than any other trait.
Everything here was new, so the set is where the game's basic keywords come from. Sentinel is on 22 cards, Ambush on 16, Raid on 14, Saboteur on 11, Restore and Shielded on 10 each, Overwhelm on 8 and Grit on 6. Of its 148 units, 110 fight in the ground arena and 38 in space.
Each aspect has a Legendary event named after it: Vigilance, Command, Aggression and Cunning. Each costs 4, needs two icons of its aspect, and lets you choose two of four effects.
Spark of Rebellion rotated out of Premier when A Lawless Time released in March 2026. Its cards are still legal in Eternal, and a card reprinted in a current set is legal in Premier in every printing.
Spark of Rebellion has 252 cards. Each shows its set code, SOR, and its number along the bottom, and the set's other versions are numbered past the printed total.
The printed total is 252. The Experience and Shield tokens are numbered apart, T01 and T02, with Hyperspace versions T03 and T04.
Each version has its own collector number, which is how TurnZero HQ, the scanner and set completion tell them apart. A foil does not: in 2024 sets a foil shares the number of the card it is a foil of, so a card's page shows its Normal and Foil prices side by side. There are no Prestige cards or Carbonite packs in 2024 sets; both began with Jump to Lightspeed in 2025. The catalog lists 514 printings of Spark of Rebellion in all. Telling the versions apart →
Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set from 1 to its printed total and keeps the Hyperspace, Showcase and Prestige versions apart as extras, so finishing the set and chasing its versions read as two separate goals. How set completion works →
All 18 leaders pair a main aspect with Heroism or Villainy. Each flips to its unit side with an Epic Action once you control enough resources, from 4 for Sabine Wren to 8 for Emperor Palpatine. Four to know:
Boba Fett, Collecting the Bounty
Spark of Rebellion #015
Readies a resource when an enemy unit leaves play. The set's chase card as a Showcase.
Leia Organa, Alliance General
Spark of Rebellion #009
Attacks with a Rebel unit, then may attack with another. Deployed, she has Raid 1.
Emperor Palpatine, Galactic Ruler
Spark of Rebellion #006
Defeats a friendly unit to deal 1 damage and draw a card. When deployed, takes control of a damaged enemy unit.
Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith
Spark of Rebellion #010
A Special leader: after you play a Villainy card, deals 1 damage to a unit and 1 to a base.
Twelve bases, three in each aspect. The eight commons have 30 HP and no ability. The four rares have 25 HP and an Epic Action: Security Complex gives a unit a Shield token, Energy Conversion Lab plays a unit that costs 6 or less with Ambush, Tarkintown deals 3 damage to a damaged unit, and Jedha City gives a unit -4/-0 for the phase.
| Base | World | Aspect | HP | Rarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Security Complex | Scarif | Vigilance | 25 | Rare |
| Capital City | Lothal | Vigilance | 30 | Common |
| Dagobah Swamp | Dagobah | Vigilance | 30 | Common |
| Energy Conversion Lab | Eadu | Command | 25 | Rare |
| Command Center | Death Star | Command | 30 | Common |
| Echo Base | Hoth | Command | 30 | Common |
| Tarkintown | Lothal | Aggression | 25 | Rare |
| Catacombs of Cadera | Jedha | Aggression | 30 | Common |
| Kestro City | Vardos | Aggression | 30 | Common |
| Jedha City | Jedha | Cunning | 25 | Rare |
| Administrator's Tower | Cloud City | Cunning | 30 | Common |
| Chopper Base | Atollon | Cunning | 30 | Common |
Both tokens are upgrades. A Shield token prevents the next damage that would be dealt to its unit, then is defeated. An Experience token gives its unit +1/+1. Shields come up on 18 of the set's cards and Experience on 15.
Shielded is the keyword that hands out the first kind: a unit with it gets a Shield token when it is played. Saboteur is the answer, since a unit with Saboteur defeats the defender's Shields when it attacks.
The set's most valuable Normal cards on October 22, 2026:
Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight
Spark of Rebellion #051
A 7-cost 6/7 with Restore 3. When played, gives an enemy unit -3/-3, or -6/-6 if a friendly unit was defeated this phase.
Darth Vader, Commanding the First Legion
Spark of Rebellion #087
A 7-cost 5/7 with Ambush that plays Villainy units with combined cost 3 or less from the top 10 cards of your deck for free.
Superlaser Blast
Spark of Rebellion #043
An 8-cost event: defeat all units.
Boba Fett, Disintegrator
Spark of Rebellion #179
A 3-cost 3/5 that deals 3 more damage when it attacks an exhausted unit that didn't enter play this round.
The Showcase Boba Fett, Collecting the Bounty was the most valuable card in Spark of Rebellion on October 22, 2026, at $295.70. Leia Organa was second at $209.85 and Emperor Palpatine third at $205.92.
Boba Fett's leader is a Common. Showcase prices follow which characters people want, not the leader's rarity, and the set's 16 Showcase leaders ranged from Jyn Erso at $40.61 to Boba Fett at the top.
The same leader was $0.12 as a Normal card and $0.17 in Hyperspace.

|---|---|---|
| Normal | 015 | $0.12 |
| Hyperspace | 281 | $0.17 |
| Showcase | 265 | $295.70 |
Only the exact version is worth its price, and the collector number at the bottom of the card tells you which one you have. Reading the card number →

Spark of Rebellion is out of Premier, so for most players today it is an Eternal set. A card from it that was reprinted in a current set can still go into a Premier deck in its Spark of Rebellion printing.
If you are learning from it, the set teaches the core of the game cleanly: units in two arenas, Sentinel to protect your base, Saboteur to get past it, and Shields and Experience to keep a unit alive or make it bigger.
March 8, 2024. It was the first Star Wars: Unlimited set.
Not since A Lawless Time released in March 2026, when Spark of Rebellion, Shadows of the Galaxy and Twilight of the Republic rotated out. Its cards are legal in Eternal, and a card reprinted in a current set is legal in every printing.
The Showcase Boba Fett, Collecting the Bounty, at $295.70 on October 22, 2026.
