War of the Giants: Round 2 released January 17, 2014, with 103 cards under the BPW2 set code: 55 Commons, 43 Super Rares and 5 Ultra Rares.

Every card is a reprint, first released between 2002 and 2013. The set runs in rough order of first release: monsters first, from Wall of Illusion (2002) to Schwarzschild Limit Dragon (2013), then Spells, then Traps, with the five Ultra Rares at the end.

War of the Giants Reinforcements (WGRT) released the same day with the same 103 cards at the same rarities, plus Zubaba General.

Cards and rarities

War of the Giants: Round 2 has 103 set codes, each starting BPW2-EN and printed under the artwork on the right. Where a card comes at more than one rarity, every version shares its code, so the table counts set codes at each rarity and a code printed at two rarities is counted twice.

RarityCardsWhat they are
Common55Monsters, Spells and Traps from every year between 2002 and 2013.
Super Rare43Includes Mystic Box, Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress and Dark Bribe, the most valuable cards in the set.
Ultra Rare5Fog King, High Priestess of Prophecy, Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana, Number 11: Big Eye and Safe Zone.

Each card in the set has one code and one rarity, so the 103 set codes are also 103 printings. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts the distinct set codes you own against the set's total, so a card printed at two rarities counts once, with an every-rarity count beside it for collectors chasing each version. The Ultra Rares

The five Ultra Rares close out the set from BPW2-EN099 to EN103. None of them was over $2.50 on October 22, 2026.

Reprints worth knowing

The most valuable cards in the set are Super Rares, not Ultra Rares. These four are the general cards behind most of that value.

The chase card: Mystic Box

Rarity Super Rare
Set code BPW2-EN073
1st Edition market price, October 22, 2026 $15.32

The Super Rare Mystic Box (BPW2-EN073) is War of the Giants: Round 2's most valuable card, at $15.32 on October 22, 2026. That is a little under twice the next card, the Super Rare Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress at $8.89.

Mystic Box is a Normal Spell. It targets one monster your opponent controls and one monster you control, destroys their monster, then gives yours to them, so it works best when the monster you hand over is weak or will cost them something.

It was first released in 2006, and it is printed only as a Super Rare in this set.

Rarity is in the foil rather than the set code, so check it before you price the copy in your hand. Reading the set code and rarity →

Playing it

No card in War of the Giants: Round 2 is on the Forbidden & Limited List as of October 23, 2026, so a deck can run three copies of any of them.

The set has no archetype focus. Evilswarm has the most cards, five, and no other theme has more than three, so most of these cards go into decks as single copies of a general card.

Because almost everything is under a few dollars, it is an inexpensive place to pick up older cards such as Dark Core, Megamorph and Back to Square One.
