Disney Lorcana · Set 6 Starter Deck
The Big Hero 6 deck: Go Go Tomago and Gadget Hackwrench lead Inventors that play items and get cheaper for it.
Emerald & Sapphire · Inventors and items
Build a board of Inventors and items, then use the discounts and Resist to stay ahead. Gadget quests for 3 once she's out, and MegaBot gives the deck its only clean removal.
It's a slow deck with a lot of small pieces, and many of them do little alone. It's one of the weaker starters out of the box and one of the more rewarding to upgrade.
Go Go Tomago - Darting Dynamo
Azurite Sea #73
Evasive. When played, pay 2 to gain lore equal to an opposing character's damage.
Gadget Hackwrench - Brilliant Bosun
Azurite Sea #140
Shift 4, quests for 3, and makes Inventors cheaper with 3 or more items out.
Many small synergies that are slow to assemble, with little removal.
Both numbers are TurnZero HQ's own editorial read, not an official Ravensburger rating. Power compares the deck out of the box against the other starter decks, not against a tuned tournament list. Difficulty is how much the deck asks of the person playing it.
Cut items that only do something once and characters that aren't Inventors. Keep MegaBot.
A Lorcana deck needs at least 60 cards, no more than 4 copies of a card with the same full name, and at most two inks, so every card you add means one you take out. The deck building rules →
Later Sapphire cards play items for free and recur them, which turns the deck's item count into real value.
Gadget Hackwrench - Resourceful Mechanic
Wilds Unknown #145
Plays an item with cost 3 or less for free when she enters.
Darkwing Duck - Dashing Gadgeteer
Winterspell #150
Recurs an item from your discard when he quests.
Buzz Lightyear - On the Way
Wilds Unknown #85
Loots whenever you pay 2 or less for a non-character.
Retro Evolution Device
Winterspell #100
Trades a character up for a bigger one.
Give the deck a finish it can reach: large, hard-to-remove characters in exactly these inks.
Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse - Adventuring Duo
Attack of the Vine! #99
A dual-ink Emerald and Sapphire 5-lore character that goes to your inkwell instead of being banished.
Milo Thatch - Getting His Hands Dirty
Wilds Unknown #82
Ward, 3 lore, and bounces a character when played.
Elinor - Renowned Diplomat
Wilds Unknown #86
Damage, lore and a card at the end of your turn.
Let It Go
Winterspell #163
Removal that sends a character to the inkwell.
As of October 2026, this deck is not legal in Core Constructed as sold, because Core uses sets 9 (Fabled) onward. A card counts as Core-legal when any printing with its full name is, so the cards from this box that were reprinted in Fabled or later can still be played there. The whole deck is legal in Infinity Constructed, which allows every set, and at any kitchen table.
Every upgrade pick on this page is from set 9 or later, so all of them are Core-legal. Core Constructed vs. Infinity →

Out of the box it's one of the weaker starters, at power 2, because its pieces take a while to come together. It improves a lot with the item cards from later sets.
No. It enters play exerted and waits. Banish it later to destroy an item or a damaged character.
Add the deck to the Deck Lab, make your swaps, and it checks the list against Core Constructed or Infinity as you go. Publish it to share the link. Free to start.
