2023 Disney Lorcana Sets
Every Disney Lorcana set of 2023, in order, with a guide to each: what it added to the game, its Legendaries, and the Enchanted cards collectors chase.
The 2023 sets
Disney Lorcana's first year had two sets, The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn. Each reached game stores two weeks before mass retail. The 2024 sets →

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The First Chapter | 1 | August 18, 2023 | September 1, 2023 | 216 | Never |

What each set added
The First Chapter introduced the game: six inks, Storyborn, Dreamborn and Floodborn characters, Shift, songs and 12 Enchanted cards. Rise of the Floodborn doubled the Shift cards to 24 and added Resist.
The chase card in each set
Both sets top out at Enchanted, and The First Chapter's Elsa is worth several times Rise of the Floodborn's chase card. The first set's Enchanted cards hold more value across the board.

The First Chapter (set 1, September 1, 2023). Where Disney Lorcana began: six inks of 34 cards each, the first Floodborn characters to Shift onto, songs your characters sing for free, and 12 Enchanted cards.
Rise of the Floodborn (set 2, December 1, 2023). The second Lorcana set doubled down on Shift: 24 Floodborn characters to play on top of their earlier selves, the new Resist keyword, and Cinderella as its chase Enchanted.
Core Constructed and the 2023 sets
Neither 2023 set has been in Core Constructed: Core began with Fabled in 2025, which reprinted 170 cards from sets 1 to 4, and sets 1 to 4 themselves stayed out. Infinity Constructed allows every set. Deck building rules for both formats →
