One Piece Card Game
An Illustration Box is four booster packs and two promo cards you can only get in that box. This guide lists every volume Bandai has released in English, what is inside each, and what the promos sell for on their own.
An Illustration Box is a Bandai product with four One Piece Card Game booster packs and two promotion cards, each promo a different card with a new illustration. Bandai has released them in pairs: two volumes come out on the same day with the same packs and different promos. The first two volumes and Illustration Box EX were North America exclusives.
The promos are reprints. Each keeps the card number, name and effect of an existing card and adds new art, so you can play it in place of the standard printing. TCGplayer lists them in its One Piece Promotion Cards set with the volume in the printing name, such as "Illustration Box Vol.7".
Bandai's English product pages list these volumes as of October 2, 2026:
The packs are the same packs sold in that set's booster boxes, so they can contain anything the set can, from Commons to its Manga and SP cards. Our 2026 set guides cover what is in OP-13 through OP-16.
Here are both promos from each volume, with TCGplayer market prices on October 2, 2026. Vol.1 and Vol.2's promos are textured foils, which TCGplayer notes in the printing name.
Jewelry Bonney (Illustration Box EX)
OP08-105
Illustration Box EX, the most valuable promo
Rob Lucci (Illustration Box EX)
OP05-093
Illustration Box EX
Boa Hancock (Illustration Box Vol.1, Textured)
ST17-004
Vol.1, textured
Silvers Rayleigh (One Piece Card Game Illustration Box Vol. 7)
OP14-108
Vol.7
The split is sharp. The three North America exclusives produced every promo worth more than $10, led by EX's Jewelry Bonney, which was sold first at a single event. Every promo from Vol.3 on sold for under $3, and most for under $1.
For a recent volume, you are mostly paying for the four packs. The two promos in Vol.5 through Vol.8 sell for a few dollars together, so buy one of those boxes if you want to open those packs anyway and like the promo art. It also works as a small gift; our One Piece gift guide has other ideas at different prices.
If you only want a promo, buy the single. A Vol.7 Silvers Rayleigh at $0.81 costs far less than a $22.99 box. The older North America exclusives are a different case, because their promos are worth more on their own: the EX Bonney sells for about 14 times that box's $19.99 MSRP. TurnZero HQ does not track sealed prices, so check a store or marketplace for what a sealed box costs today.
Each Illustration Box promo is its own printing in TurnZero HQ's One Piece catalog, under TCGplayer's Promotion Cards set. Add the promos and the cards you pull from the packs to your collection and each is priced daily from TCGplayer. Our promo card guide covers the other ways Bandai hands out promos.

Four booster packs and two promotion cards of two different types. Which packs are inside depends on the volume: Vol.7 and Vol.8, for example, each have two OP15-EB04 packs and two OP-16 packs.
Bandai's MSRP has ranged from $19.99 for Vol.1, Vol.2 and EX to $23.99 for Vol.5 and Vol.6. Vol.7 and Vol.8 are $22.99. Stores set their own prices.
The Jewelry Bonney (OP08-105) from Illustration Box EX, at $282.98 on October 2, 2026. EX was sold first at ONE PIECE DAY Dallas in March 2025. The promos from Vol.3 onward all sold for under $3 each.
Yes. Each promo keeps the card number and effect of the card it reprints, so it can be played wherever that card number can.
