Set code OP09
Printings 162 (120 base)

Card numbers OP09-001 to OP09-119, plus a Treasure Rare

Emperors in the New World is the ninth English booster, released December 13, 2024. Four of its six Leaders carry The Four Emperors type: Shanks, Buggy, Monkey.D.Luffy and Marshall.D.Teach. The other two are Lim and Nico Robin.

It has five Manga printings, more than any main booster before it: Shanks, Buggy, Marshall.D.Teach, Gol.D.Roger and Monkey.D.Luffy. Four cards also come as Wanted Posters.

TCGplayer lists 162 printings: 120 base printings (one of them a Treasure Rare, Zoro-Juurou, ST18-004), 19 Parallels, 5 Alternate Arts, 6 SP printings, 5 Manga, 4 Wanted Posters and 3 DON!! cards. Its cards are block 2 or later, so the April 2026 rotation, which removed block 1, didn't touch them.

Cards and rarities

TCGplayer lists 162 printings in Emperors in the New World. 120 are base printings, the version of each card number with no special art, and the other 42 are special printings of those numbers and the set's DON!! cards.

The rarity counts above are the 120 base printings. A special printing keeps its card's rarity, so a Parallel Super Rare is still marked SR. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set by its base printings and keeps every other printing as a separate tally, so finishing the set and chasing its special printings read as two separate goals. Playing it

Each Emperor Leader asks for a different plan: Shanks shrinks attackers on your opponent's turn, Buggy wants Cross Guild Characters, Luffy recycles DON!!, and Teach gives up his own On Play effects to shut off his opponent's.

Lim plays every Character rested, so an ODYSSEY deck trades tempo for the DON!! her ability adds.

Tournament play adds Bandai's banned and restricted lists and, since April 2026, Standard rotation by the block number printed on each card. Check Bandai's current announcements before an event. Deck building rules →
